Within any Buddy app, you can pay for multiple services at multiple merchants. Most commonly you'll scan a QR to pay.

  • You need an internet connection to use this feature.
  • All transactions are secured by Paygate (learn more).

Paying with your Smile$ Card


When you're ready to pay, find the QR you need to scan. It's usually located near the cash register.


Here's how to pay:


  1. Tap the Pay button on the bottom app bar.
  2. Point the camera at the QR so it's within the green frame.
  3. On the popup select Pay Merchant.
  4. In the next screen, enter the amount and tap Continue to Checkout.
  5. In Checkout, with your Smile$ Card selected, tap on Pay.
  6. And just like that, your payment is done.


        Your Smile$ balance will be updated. You can view your Smile$ transactions under the Smile$ Rewards page.



Paying with your Credit/Debit Card


When you're ready to pay, find the QR you need to scan. It's usually located near the cash register.


Here's how to pay:


  1. Tap the Pay button on the bottom app bar.
  2. Point the camera at the QR so it's within the green frame.
  3. On the popup select Pay Merchant.
  4. In the next screen, enter the amount and tap Continue to Checkout.
  5. In Checkout, tap the left arrow and choose the card you want to pay with, then tap on Pay.
  6. In the popup enter your CVV number and tap Confirm.


        Your card will be credited the amount paid, and if your bank supports it you'll get a message from them.
