QR's are an essential part of how you can engage with the Buddy Ecosystem. Within any Buddy app, you can scan QR's to pay merchants and for services. You can Sign in to certain locations, discover more info about something, redeem vouchers and so much more.
NOTE:
- You don't need an internet connection to scan a QR but it might not work properly due to the QR's function needing an internet connection.
Examples of Buddy QR's out in the wild
Here's how you sign in
Once you've found the sign in QR (it should be at the entry point, ask if you're unsure):
- After opening the app, tap the Pay button on the bottom app bar.
- Point the camera at the QR so it's within the green frame.
- And just like that, you've scanned the QR and have been signed in.
Your phone will vibrate slightly once the QR has been scanned, and you'll get a success message.
If you get an error message, then close the app in the background, relaunch it and scan again. If you still get an error message, sign in via the book. Please inform a cashier, the appointed guard or manager of the error.
